UTV Kenya is a FREE TO AIR Channel with a cumulative audience of more than 3,000,000. We are currently in Nairobi, Nyambene, Malindi, Kitui, Wajir, Mbui Nzau, Namanga, Lamu, Vuria, Nyandundo, and Loldiani Our audience also extends to some parts of Thika, Kajiado, Muranga, Ngong, and Kiambu.

Motivated by the quest to advance in the development of digital television networks and the introduction of advanced digital electronics, UTV Television has intensified efforts to enable more and more Kenyans to access quality television broadcasting.

As mentioned in subsequent sections of this document, UTV Television has extended Its coverage to over 70 percent of Kenya’s population and is expected to rise to over 80 percent by the end of the year 2020.

Currently, UTV is covering its clients in the 41 Counties in Kenya, thanks to SIGNET our signal distributor. UTV has been targeting both the youth and adult populations.

Both these demographic populations consume commercials, news, art, and music (gospel, classical, country) and sports.

In addition, it runs a series of TV local programs popularly known as (TAMDHILIA)namely-LUGHA ZETU, KIJIJINI, MTUMISHI, Youth Movie section(GAME CHANGER), and HADITHI ZETU.

UTV Television also airs advertisements for schools, churches, and community-based mobilization activities. To reach this high population, UTV has switched from analog to digital broadcasting.

UTV Television in partnership with SIGNET offers cheap and affordable decoders with no monthly subscriptions to enable more and more Kenyans to access superior audio and video television reception.

Digital broadcasting presents an added opportunity for Kenya viewers to enjoy enhanced quality and scope of production and broadcasting of new program content and enriching the media space.
