On September, 26th, 1964 the first message of the West Kazakhstan regional television studio has come on air. On August 15, 1964, before the premiere of the Ural TV Channel, the Oblast Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting were established, and its first chairman was approved by Nauryzgali Sydykovich Sydykov. Today one of the city streets is named after N. Sydykov.
