Tele Radio Padre Pio is the issuer of the Friars Minor Capuchin of the religious Province of Sant'Angelo and Padre Pio who transmits from San Giovanni Rotondo. It is a Catholic channel that, starting from the analysis of what is happening in Italy and in the world, intends to spread the message of the Gospel, also through the teachings and experience of St. Pio of Pietrelcina.
The broadcaster broadcasts its signal over the air in almost all the territory of Puglia and has entered into a partnership agreement with the national television station Padre Pio Tv of the homonymous association (always emanation of the Capuchin Friars), which also transmits via satellite in Europe and in the Mediterranean basin.
Tele Radio Padre Pio is a thematic television, with an exclusively religious address. It does not pursue profit and the little publicity is almost exclusively aimed at promoting the publishing products of the same Capuchin friars. It is mainly based on the generosity of Padre Pio's devotees.
According to a survey conducted by the Eurisko institute in 2005, Tele Radio Padre Pio is followed by people of both sexes, of various ages, education and social background.
The supporting structure of the palimpsest consists of the celebrations that take place in the sacred places of San Giovanni Rotondo. But there are also programs of information, current events, culture, catechesis, reflection on the writings and on the example of Padre Pio's life. Every Sunday and every Wednesday the Angelus and the General Audience of His Holiness Pope Francis are transmitted. Much followed is the transmission of images lives from the crypt.
Tele Radio Padre Pio is owned by the Voce di Padre Pio Foundation, a non-profit organization of direct emanation of the Friars Minor Capuchin of the Province of Sant'Angelo and Padre Pio.
